Meet Dr. Kavita Kalidas

Dr. Kavita Kalidas is a board-certified neurologist and UCNS-certified headache specialist based in Tampa, Florida. She completed her neurology residency and headache medicine fellowship at the University of South Florida. Since 2010, Dr. Kalidas has been providing care to patients in the Tampa Bay community. She is passionate about treating patients with headaches and atypical facial pain, understanding the importance of an integrated mind-body approach for optimal clinical outcomes.

Her deep-rooted interest in managing neurological conditions stems from her childhood exposure to her grandmother’s multiple sclerosis symptoms and a strong family and personal history of disabling migraines. Dr. Kalidas is dedicated to educating others in the field of headache medicine. As a national speaker, she is frequently invited to discuss migraines at headache, pain management, and primary care meetings.

Founder

Dr. Kalidas is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Headache Society, and the International Headache Society. She has been involved in clinical research on adult and pediatric headaches, enjoys providing education to both patients and providers, and actively supports migraine advocacy. Her research has been published in several prominent medical journals, including Headache and Cephalalgia.

Dr. Kalidas’ interests include chronic migraines, facial pain, and the mind-body integrated approach to healing. Her goal is to deliver exceptional care and comfort to each of her patients by offering a thorough understanding of their diagnosis and the best-integrated course of treatment. She uses an integrative mind-body approach to individualize care and guide each patient on their personal road to recovery and healing.
